Hello and welcome!

This site is a mostly all-encompassing reflection and analysis of the contents of The Arabian Nights and its various versions. While I encourage you to read the stories because they are wonderfully entertaining, you can find review materials here, such as summaries, themes, translations, and more.

The Content tab includes pages for both The Arabian Nights and Sindbad and Other Stories, and each of those pages has a list of all stories included in the collections. The stories and tales that have links have individual pages with main characters and plot summaries.

The Context tab includes a link to the themes page, which features blog posts about certain themes present in Arabian Nights. There is also a link to a page for translation history, which has an academic paper written by moi to analyze and compare the translations by Haddawy, Burton, and the Dalziel brothers. There is also a page for art and adaptations, as well as one for resources.
