Plot Summary

Sindbad forgot all about the hardship he suffered on his previous voyages and decided to go on another one. He joined a ship full of merchants and sailed until they encountered huge murderous whales. Sindbad managed to survive by clinging to a raft that carried him to a river that ran under a mountain, and eventually he discovered a city full of people who saved him from the water. He vowed to never forget the hardship and never voyage again if he survived this journey.

Sindbad became very close to an old man, and this old man promised all his goods to Sindbad when he died, as well as his daughter’s hand in marriage. Sindbad stays in this city for a long time.

One day he decides to hitch a ride with the men who grow wings, but he praised God and brought fire down on them all because they were not God’s creations and did not follow God. Sindbad’s wife convinced him to sell everything so they could return to his home and live there instead.

Sindbad returned to his home with his wife and honored his vow to never voyage again. He lived well and appreciated what he had without forgetting his sufferings and getting greedy again. He lived happily ever after.
