Plot Summary
The king lived in his kingdom and was married to woman who he thought loved him deeply. One day, he discovered that she had a secret lover and that she actually hated the king. He attacked the lover, leaving him close to death.
In retaliation, the wife cursed the king so that the bottom half of his body turned to stone. She cursed the kingdom so that the people became the fish that the fisherman would one day sell to his king, and she preserved her lover as best she could even though he never recovered from the king’s attack.
